  • Anonymous asked: Ahhh please tell me the Yearning, Burning quality's inability to be raised by consuming sunlight is a mistake. Otherwise the whole promise of the Name would be quite a horrible tease.

It can only be raised by going up to the Surface and collecting sunlight in Mirrorcatch Boxes, not by opening them.

For what it’s worth, though it’s only tangentially related to this ask, a bit towards the end of the Exaltation Ambition is broken; the Carnelian Exile makes a plea almost immediately after you do some business at Kingeater Castle. There’s a bit of weirdness with the requirements; dealing with that event locks you out of getting Salt’s Song at Irem, which is definitely unintentional. There’s no way to dodge the Plea event; you’ll need to save-edit to get around it, or just wait for a bug fix. If you wanna fix that yourself; note down the level of quality id 112668, then set it to 19 (and set 117205 to 4, if you’ve already had the Exile’s Plea event). Just set quality id 112668 back to whatever it was again after you get Salt’s Song and you should be able to deal with the Plea and finish off the game as normal. Okay!
